This cable provides a 3.5mm audio input to the ADS-SR1. It’s primarily used for loading firmware updates on the device – the updates are provided as audio files and can be played through a PC or MP3 player. Some ADS-SR1 users also find it useful for bulk configuration of multiple devices using pre-recorded DTMF tones and announcements.
