Windows INF File Installation for OTUSB and T3

This guide explains how to install the INF driver for OpenTracker USB and Tracker3 devices. The procedure works on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows, including Windows 7.

⚠️ Windows 8 requires signed drivers. Currently, there are no signed drivers for OTUSB and T3, but you can temporarily disable driver signature enforcement by following these instructions.


Installation Steps

  1. Plug in the OpenTracker USB and open Device Manager.
  2. Under Other devices, locate an Unknown device.
    Right-click it and select Properties to confirm the device has VID 134A, PID 9000.

  1. Close the Properties dialog. Then, right-click the device and select Update Driver Software.
  2. Select Browse my computer for driver software, and navigate to the folder containing the OpenTrackerUSB_Windows7.inf file.

  1. Click Next. The driver may take a minute or two to install.
  2. After installation, refresh Device Manager to see the Tracker listed under Ports (COM & LPT).

You can change the COM port: - Right-click the Tracker and choose Properties - Select the Port Settings tab - Click Advanced - Choose a new COM port from the drop-down list
