Bought 2, one for my TM-D700 and the other for my TM-D710. Both installed easily on the vehicles roof thanks to the strong magnet. After applying power they synchronized quickly and worked great! No set up, almost plug and play.

For the 5 volts, I installed an LM78L05 (TO-92) 5 volt .1mA voltage regulator in the DB-9 shell of the receiving connector. Soldered two of the LM78L05 leads right into the solder cups on the connector. Then ran 12v up to the connector for the other lead. Works great.
